Project Marshlight is all about developing new ways to document and tell the story of Massachusetts’ coastal marshes. These ecosystems serve as natural buffers against coastal erosion, foster biodiversity, and store significant amounts of carbon. However, they face alarming threats from rising sea levels and human development. By deploying custom amphibious cameras, we will capture the dynamic interplay between terrestrial and aquatic life within these marshes. Through developing innovative imagery technology, we hope to pave a path for future storytellers to inspire public awareness and urgency for conservation efforts.
